THE CRYONIC CHANTS - September 2008
KML 2113

Objective songs and poems taken from an impassive animal

Throughout the development of the dramatic cycle Tragedia Endogonidia, Chiara Guidi worked side by side with Scott Gibbons in a work closely interweaving the sound idea and its realisation. Their research is based above all on the possibility of constructing dramaturgy with the voice and the sound derived from it. The Cryonic Chants is an electro-acoustic concert - a sort of sound funnel into which part of the music universe of the Tragedia Endogonidia Cycle develops, and particularly, that part having as it's main object the alphabet and the verbal language - generated by the sounds and texts of the Tragedia Endogonidia system, performed live by the authors and with vocalists Claudia Castellucci, Teodora Castellucci and Monica Demuru.

ZU with OKAPI & REEKS - Intermediate Spirit Receiver - tbc
KML 2112

The sheer power of Zu is undeniable and as a 5 piece (with the addition of turntables, synth and samplers courtesy of Okapi & Reeks) they are more brutal than ever. Intermediate Spirit Receiver enters strange, unchartered territory for Zu but there is no doubt- this is some of their most intense and 'out' work to date.
